New Launch - Huawei Honor 5X launched at Rs 12,999; budget Honor Holly 2 Plus at Rs 8,499 in India

Huawei has launched the Honor 5X smartphone in India at a price of Rs 12,999. Along with the device, the company has also introduced the Honor Holly 2 Plus at a price of Rs 8,499. The Holly 2 Plus will be available starting 15 February midnight via Amazon and Flipkart. The pre-orders for the Honor 5X begin at 3PM today and the device will be available on 1 February midnight via Amazon and Flipkart.

Sporting a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1080 x 1920 pixels of resolution, the Huawei Honor 5X comes powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC. The 16GB onboard storage is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

On the camera front, one can expect a 13MP rear snapper and a 5MP front-facing camera. The connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.1, USB 2.0, GPS, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 4G. It also gets a fingerprint scanner. A 3000mAh battery completes the package. It also supports Quick Charge 3.0. Dipped in Silver and Gold options, it measures 158 grams and measures 151.3 x 76.3 x 8.15mm.

On the other hand, the Honor Holly 2 Plus sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz QuadCore processor paired with 2GB RAM. Running Android 5.1 Lollipop, the device comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera along with a 5MP front facing camera with features such as Auto Flash, Continuos Shooting, Face detection, Geo tagging, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR) and Touch to focus.

The smartphone features an inbuilt storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Bluetooth, A-GPS and USB connectivity. A 4000 mAh battery completes the package.
