Good news for Mi band lovers!!!

One of the best and affordable wrist bands in the world is Mi band. Due to it's low cost, military grade performance with necessary tracking made this band famous among common people. People can track all their details in smartphone but they cannot carry it all the time, but this types of wearable gadgets comes handy where it helps you to track your steps, sleeping pattern, heart rate monitor and many more. So people can choose the wrist bands based on their tracking needs. When considering cost, performance and data, then winner among them is Mi band. It has been 2 years since they launched Mi band and still going strong. Now company is going to release Mi band 2 with OLED screen with just 50% more cost when compared to it's predecessor

Let us see what the experts say about Mi band 2 from wearable and Indianexpress articles:
Just days after Xiaomi's CEO confirmed the release date, we now know all of the juicy Mi Band 2 details.

The 24/7 activity tracker will come with a 0.42-inch OLED screen that's covered by scratch resistant glass and an anti-fingerprint coating for that extra layer of protection.

That's joined by a single physical button just below the display that'll let you scroll through three different screens. That's time, steps and heart rate information. It's slightly surprising there's no screen dedicated to distance though.

Xiaomi claims the silicone strap holding that screen in place is made from a more breathable, anti-sweat material and will be available in black, orange, green and blue colours.

It's been slapped with an IP67 water and dust-resistance certification, which means you can wear it in the shower and it's suitable to get a little splash of water when you're washing the dishes or your hands.

As far as tracking goes, you still get an optical heart rate monitor, which will apparently offer improved heart rate tracking accuracy. A new pedometer algorithm coupled with ultra low power accelerometers will also similarly deliver improved step tracking.

It'll also offer sleep tracking breaking down your deep sleep and light sleep patterns. A built-in vibration motor also means the introduction of inactivity alerts, giving you buzz when you've been sitting too long at your desk.

With the addition of a display, you do get some smartphone notification love here as well. It'll vibrate when there's incoming calls and texts. It's pretty basic, but that's no real surprise here. Like its predecessor, the Mi Band 2 can be used to unlock a selection of Android smartphones.

The Mii Fit app has been given a makeover introducing a new-look UI, and adding more sections to drill into your data. It'll work with Android phones running 4.4 or later and iPhones running iOS 7.0 and above.

In terms of battery life, the Mi Band 2 packs a 70mAh battery that can deliver up to 20 days on standby. That sounds impressive, but as we found testing the Mi Band Pulse, we'll reserve judgement until we've had some time to try it out.

So how much will the Mi Band 2 cost? It's going on sale in China only on 7 June for 149Yuan. That's roughly $22. The original Mi Band costs $14.99 and is available direct from the manufacturer.

Xiaomi just launched Mi Band 2 in China, which will go on sale from June 7. The smartband is the successor of Mi Band, but comes with a host of improvements, including a heart rate sensor. Priced at 149 Yuan (Rs 1,500 approx), Mi band 2 now has a scratch-resistant OLED screen. Xiaomi VP, Hugo Barra posted details about Mi Band 2 on his Facebook page along with pictures of the device. “We just stepped up our game with Mi Band 2, now with an OLED display for you to see your progress and more at a glance. Plus, it’s now a watch too,” he said. The most noticeable change in the Mi band 2 is addition of a 0.42-inch OLED display. Next up, is an all-new optical heart-rate sensor, something which we didn’t see in Mi Band.

The Mi band 2 will help users track fitness, sleep and monitor heart rate. The OLED display in Mi Band 2 shows time, step count, and heart rate with a wrist lift or a button tap. Mi band 2 is made up of silicone and is IP67 certified water-resistant. The smartband weighs only 7gm. It supports Bluetooth 4.0 and can be seamlessly connected to a smartphone to receive alerts, and notifications. It packs a 70mAh battery, which the company claims will last up to 20-days. It will be available in blue, black, orange and green colour variants. Mi Band has been one of the most affordable fitness tracker in the market for quite a long time at Rs 999. Xiaomi, with Mi Band 2, again is expected to target the affordable segment in India. The device sure comes with a host of new and improved features, but we will have to wait and see how it is priced in India. Also, Xiaomi has not made an announcement on when it will bring Mi Band 2 to India.
