DataWind, maker of UbiSlate tablets and pocket surfer smartphones have expanded their portfolio by launching a new tablet to its range called the ‘PC 7SC’ priced at Rs 2,999 in India. The tablet also comes with free internet access for one year provided by Reliance Communications and Telenor Networks. The tablet will be available for purchase through Snapdeal’s 24X7 TV commerce channel.
In terms of specifications, the device sports a 7-inch display with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution along with 133 ppi. It is powered by a 1.3 Ghz Mediacore single core processor with 512 MB RAM. On the storage front, one will find an internal storage of 4 GB, which can be further expanded up to 32 GB via a micro SD card.
The device runs on Android 4.4.2 and is powered by a 2400 mAh battery. The tablet is said to be capable of reducing bandwidth consumption up to 10 times. This allows users to load complex web pages quickly even on 2G networks in just 5 to 10 seconds.
